To participate in the Refer-a-Friend Program by referring new customers, you must be our customer (who applied with us previously) and be provided a referral link directly from Point. Your friend must be a new customer who has not applied with us before or has no pending applications with us. The subject property must also be different from the person who sent the referral. Additional program requirements are outlined below.
You will receive a unique referral link via email, which you can share with your friends via email, social media, or text message. Your friend must use your referral link to create an application in order for both of you to receive the reward.
Includes information that can be used to distinguish individual identity and/or authenticate an individual (including national identification number, driver’s license number, credit card numbers, social security number, government-issued identification numbers, passwords or PINs, financial account numbers, credit report information, and other personal identifiers); and can be used to obtain a consumer report from a consumer reporting agency, as defined under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including a social security number and/or date of birth.
Provide all information in the application including a valid SSN that matches the applicant's name for a hard credit pull, then click the “submit” button. A referral payment will not be made if the SSN does not match the applicant or if fraud is suspected.
You may not use any spam or unsolicited email or social media tactics to promote your referral link. You may not use any paid advertising or incentivized methods to promote your referral link.
We reserve the right to disqualify any referrals that we believe are fraudulent or violate the terms and conditions of our Refer-a-Friend Program. We also reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time and for any reason without notice.
Point partners with and invests alongside the homeowner in the property. Subject to underwriting approval, Point will pay you an upfront, lump sum amount in exchange for a portion of your home’s future appreciation. Future appreciation is based on using the risk adjusted Appreciation Starting Value and calculating any gain or loss based on the final appraised value of your home at the time of exit. Point charges up to a 3.9% processing fee (subject to a $1,000 minimum) and other third party paid closing costs such as appraisal, escrow, and government fees. The term is 30 years. Point will place a lien on your home to secure performance of the underlying agreement. There are no monthly payments or interest accrual. Homeowner’s repayment amount is based on the future value of the subject property at the time of exit, as outlined in the underlying agreement.
