About the role

Point is hiring a Senior Product Designer to design high-quality product experiences that support homeowners through an important financial decision. This role focuses on turning complexity into experiences that feel modern and trustworthy, using strong information architecture, visual judgment, and attention to detail. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers in an environment where design decisions are taken seriously and visual polish, coherence, and usability are treated as essential. You’ll also contribute to evolving our design system and visual language, making improvements that add up over time.


Your responsibilities

  • Design and iterate on high-fidelity, customer-facing product experiences that help homeowners understand our products, build trust, and move forward with confidence.

  • Manage design work independently within defined problem spaces, balancing priorities and making tradeoffs.

  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate requirements into shippable designs.

  • Contribute to experimentation and iteration by designing variants and refinements informed by product data, research findings, and feedback.

  • Prepare clear design artifacts and documentation to support implementation, including interaction details, states, and edge cases.

  • Partner closely with engineering through implementation to review shipped work, address gaps and edge cases, and ensure design quality holds up in production.

  • Contribute to and extend the design system by creating and refining patterns that improve consistency, efficiency, and coherence across the product.

  • Communicate design decisions clearly, incorporating feedback and navigating tradeoffs.


About you

  • 3+ years working as a product designer on customer-facing experiences..

  • A portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft, information architecture, and interaction design in shipped work.

  • Experience working in cross-functional product teams with product managers and engineers.

  • Fluency in Figma.

  • Experience contributing to a design system, including creating or refining reusable components or patterns.

In addition, employees also receive 4 weeks of fully paid transition time, during which you may work 2–3 days per week while receiving full base pay.

Compensation at Point will be determined by skills, experience, and geographic location. Point has identified the expected annual base salary for this role at this level based on the market by tiers (Region | Location | Market Salary):

  • Tier 1 | San Francisco Bay Area, New York, and Seattle | $170,000 - $188,000

  • Tier 2 | Chicago, Austin, Denver, Boston, Washington DC, San Diego, Portland, Sacramento, Philadelphia, Los Angeles & Santa Barbara | $153,000 - $169,000

  • Tier 3 | All other US metro areas | $136,000 - $150,000


This does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, including equity, benefits, and perks outlined above. At the launch of each position, we benchmark compensation to the appropriate role and level utilizing competitive compensation data from various data sources as references. At the offer stage, we use the signal we received from our interviews, coupled with your experience, location, and other job-related factors, to determine final compensation.
